ARCHIE KALEPA
Mānaiakalani was the name of Maui’s fish hook, which among its many feats, pulled the islands from the sea. Like the moʻolelo, the waʻa Mānaiakalani is bringing together people from all over Hawaiʻi in hopes of strengthening our knowledge of the land from the mountain to the sea. Under the direction of Captain Archie Kalepa, the canoe begins its maiden voyage from Hawaiʻi island to Maui, embarking on a journey of a lifetime.
