CLIENT: Child Welfare Services for Family First Hawaʻi
ROLE: Videography + Editing
FEATURING: Ekela Kaniaupio-Crozier + Elladine Olevao
This video is used as a cultural training video for Family First Hawaiʻi social workers and service providers serving the children of Hawaʻi. The goal of Family First Hawaiʻi is to support families in staying together and avoiding foster care. Because most of the families served are native Hawaiian, it is important to culturally inform social workers for a better understanding and deeper connections.
We focused on the metaphor of a pūʻolo that is used as their logo. By explaining this in the training video, the logo will better remind them of their role.
