Ali‘i Greeting Service is a multigenerational family business, owned & founded by local Hawaiians born & raised in Hawaiʻi. This rebrand revolved around culture & tradition within the tourism industry. Because the company is already well-established, it was decided to move away from “selling Hawaiʻi,” & move towards spreading awareness & making the most of the opportunity to be a visitor’s first impression to the islands & our culture – making sure it’s done right! This inspired our “be a better visitor” effort to share Hawaiʻi’s current realities & how visitors support. The rebrand focused on “Aliʻi”…stepping up to royal standards. And not just “a better service,” but having strong identity, pride & purpose in doing so.

ROYAL STANDARDS

Ali‘i were Hawai‘i’s highly respected line of royalty – monarchs, chiefs, and leaders. Their lives were driven by pride and purpose: to protect their people, culture, and the islands they called home. They lived by high standards which also translated in the warm welcome and hospitality they shared with visitors.

Inspired by our ancestral leaders, Ali‘i Greeting Service is committed to providing a welcoming experience of royal standards while continuing cultural traditions. When visitors first step foot in Hawai‘i, we’re the first to welcome them to the islands. This is our opportunity to make a great cultural first impression.

BRAND ITEMS

BUSINESS CARDS

We designed 3 sets of business cards: 1 “join the team” recruit card & 2 general business cards in 2 shades of purple. The recruit cards have an image on the front side to visually describe the position. Both cards have contact details on the backside.

EMAIL SIGNATURE

Here is a general email signature that is responsive to desktop & mobile screens.

DIGITAL PROFILES

Online profiles were set up to expand digital reach & build an online presence. Customers can book a reservations directly on our website or through 3rd party travel sites & read reviews.

DOOR SIGNS

2 Door signs were made: 1 long white sign for a glass door & a shorter magnetic sign for a metal door.

“BE A BETTER VISITOR”

This is an example of the effort made to encourage customers to “be better visitors.” Aliʻi Greeters handed out informative flyers w/ each lei greeting & explained why this movement is significant to our Hawaiian community.

RESPONSIVE DESIGN

This is an example of the detailed tour pages. Here we find helpful info such as tour duration, suggested items to bring, & itinerary.

CART TYPES

The top header features a dropdown cart that can be found on every page, displaying a quick glance of order details. Customers can also be directed to the cart page through the dropdown cart. This will lead customers to the checkout page.
